The Small Side Tables in made from hand-carved palm wood has a simple but captivating design. It is composed of rounded shapes that highlight the natural grain of the wood and combine to create a primitive form that looks like an unreal and endearing character.
Palm wood is a soft wood and cannot be assembled in the same way as conventional wood. The piece then undergoes a long process of repeated sanding and varnishing to fix the top layer of its fibre and enhance its unique natural colour, which is different for each tree.
